Many activities are available in Phang-Nga; there is diving, jungle tours, elephant riding, kayaking, snorkeling etc. Quite unknown is mountain biking, though the area is ideal for it .Temperature is mostly above 25 C, so even when wet you won’t get cold.
Mountain biking is the ideal way to get off the beaten track and explore more about the non-touristic areas .Several tours ,guided and unguided can be done , bikes can be rented at multiple places .The area consist of beaches , rubber- and palm tree plantations and of course there is the jungle with its limestone karts mountains.
Phang-Nga it is cover by rain forests and is the size of whole Holland .Many places are not scratched by tourists yet. This fact makes the exploration of the province by mountain bike interesting .Discover the hospitality of the local people of Thailand, get to taste the local, cheap food, see what other tourists don’t see and meet yourself when you explore the unspoiled jungle.
Everyone can go for mountain biking over here, there are several different paths for any skills, sixty-year-old people, or sixyear- old can go for a full day trip.
All you need is a healthy body and the will to get away from your resort or hotel for an exciting trip. If you are more experienced and fit you can decide to go for a multi day trip there are trails that start at the Sarasin Bridge near Phuket and go all the way up to Takua Pa.
For the real adventurers there are some trails from coast to coast as well, may take up to 7- 10 days and distance is over 300 km.
Overnight stay mostly is in small villages with local people, accommoda tion is mostly a small house, a space in a temple, up to your own private bungalow. The multi day trips are guided and followed by a bus in case of any
emergency, bike troubles or if a tourist is just too tired to continue on bike.
